  1: Ghost Adventures: A Raw Documentary into the Paranormal

  On Wednesday, July 25th at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, millions tuned into the Sci-Fi Channel for the TV premiere of "Ghost Adventures," a 'raw documentary' in which Zak Bagans, Nick Groff, and Aaron Goodwin go to Virginia City, NV and Goldfield, NV on a ghost-hunting expedition. Virginia City is rife with macabre lore and reputed to be one of the most haunted cities in America. The townsfolk seem to enjoy their town's reputation and history. Goldfield is the site of the Goldfield Hotel (the last paying, and living, guest was in World War II), which is reputed as being one of "the scariest places on earth." "Ghost Adventures" has already won Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary that was given by the New York International Film & Video Festival and it was almost nominated for Best Feature Film from the Eerie Horror Film Festival. Zak and his team also traveled to the Berlin Feature Film International film festival and the Cannes film festival for international appeal. Zak and his crew venture into places where others fear to tread. "Ghost Adventures" is probably one of the most convincing paranormal documentaries that viewers have seen, or will ever see. Along with the usual orbs there are noises, EVP (electronic voice phenomena), mysterious shadows, flying objects, and the coup de grace...a full-bodied apparition. The internet is abuzz with the news of this evidence and with the film's premiere. The film and its crew all have My Space websites, and hundreds of My Space Friends. This film and the Zak's techniques have been described as "extreme ghost-hunting" due in part to the taunts Zak slews at potential spirits in a highly controversial way, to the areas that they visited, and partly due to the evidence that they captured.   1: Preston Castle

  Zak, Nick and Aaron head to Ione, Calif., for an adventure in a condemned building known as Preston Castle. The castle has a dark history as a former reformatory that housed angry juvenile offenders and abandoned children. It is the sight of an unsolved murder, countless instances of corporal punishment, and the scene of many tragic deaths due to ravaging epidemics of tuberculosis and yellow fever. The boys have their hands full in this episode with the aggressive ghosts that are trapped within the confines of Preston Castle.

  2: Castillo de San Marcos

  The Ghost Adventures team travels to St. Augustine, FL, to investigate Castillo de San Marcos. The fort was built in the 1600s by Spanish settlers, and its dark history includes inquisitions, sieges, massacres and starvation.

  3: La Purisima Mission

  The Ghost Adventures crew investigates the haunted occurrences at the La Purisima Mission in Lompoc, California. The former Spanish residence of padres, soldiers and the native Chumash is beautiful, but the air around it is heavy with the tragedy of disease and war. At La Purisima the sounds of flutes and the voices of the long-gone inhabitants still linger. Trapped within its white-washed walls, the spirits seem bound to this land, forever locked in their struggle with each other.

  4: Magnolia Plantation

  The Ghost Adventures crew travels to Natchitoches, LA, to investigate the Magnolia Plantation. It's the first time any paranormal team has ever been allowed to investigate the plantation. Built in 1830 to grow and harvest cotton, it consists of 5,000 acres of land. Shamefully, many slaves labored and died in the vast farming fields of the plantation. Today it has been taken over by the National Park Service in an attempt to preserve its history. The Ghost Adventures crew uncovers evidence of voodoo rituals that many of the slaves used to seek revenge on the plantation owners. The spirits of the repressed and tortured souls are still alive in this national park.

  In the small town of Wotton Under Edge on England's western shore sits an ancient house with a dark history. Built around 1145, this former priest's residence, inn and public house is the oldest building in town, and its current owner thinks it may be the most haunted home in all of Great Britain.

  1: Pennhurst State

  In the 3rd season premiere episode, Zak, Nick, and Aaron travel to Pennhurst State School and Hospital in Pennsylvania, which was an institution for both the mentally and physically disabled. Pennhurst State closed in 1987 after several allegations of abuse, including dehumanization.

  2: Poveglia Island

  Zak, Nick, and Aaron travel to a small island located between Venice and Lido in Italy. The island was used for the isolation of plague victims and as a plague pit in Roman times. A mental hospital was located on the island, but it is said that the doctor tortured and killed many of the patients. Tourists are forbidden to visit the island.

  Zak, Nick, and Aaron travel to Ohio Reformatory, also known as Mansfield Reformatory, in Ohio. It has housed over 150,000 criminals and it is said that the spirits of inmates who died violent deaths here still haunt Ohio Reformatory.
